BGHOMEAFFAIRS-4.001-0001 „PREVENTION AND COUNTERACTION TO CORRUPTION“
The project is funded by the Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2014-2021 and is implemented by the Internal Security Directorate in partnership with the General Directorate National Police.
The main goal of the project is to increase the administrative capacity of officers from Internal
Security Directorate for prevention and counteraction of corruption
among police officers.
Duration of the project: 36 months
Starting date 17.01.2020
End date 17.01.2023
Budget: 1 933 360,26 EUR
Expected results:

Increasing the capacity of Bulgarian authorities in the fight against economic crimes and corruption;

Increasing the capacity of Internal Security Directorate to prevent corruption among police officers;

Improved methods for assessing the integrity of police officers;
-
Provided training and improved technical capacity of GDNP for prevention of corruption in state institutions.
The target group of the project are police officers, officers of Ministry of Interior, working in the field of anti-corruption and representatives of state institutions in the field of anti-corruption, prosecutors and judges.
Project activities:
1. Project managment;
2. Increasing the capacity of the officers of Internal Security Directorate in the field of prevention and counteraction of corruption, by conducting trainings, seminars, round tables and exchange of good practices;
3. Increasing the capacity of the officers of Internal Security Directorate in the field of prevention and counteraction of corruption, through development of existing and creation of new mechanisms for reporting corruption and other illegal acts committed by the employees of the Ministry of Interior - "Whistle blower mechanism";
4. Strengthening the capacity of Internal Security Directorate for prevention and counteraction of corruption through an information system for collection, fast processing and visualization of information flows;
5. Development of methodology and tools for introduction of anti-corruption measures and operational tactics;
6. Increasing the capacity of the officers of Internal Security Directorate for conducting specialized operations by purchasing specialized technical equipment, guaranteeing the security of the transmitted information;
7. Increasing the capacity of GDNP in the field of prevention and counteraction of corruption;
8. Information and publicity.
