Increasing the capacity of the employees of the Internal Security Directorate

Finished the last of 24 training events was held within the project "Prevention and Counteraction of Corruption", granted by the Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2014-2021.

The trainings were aimed at increasing the capacity of the employees of the Internal Security Directorate in line with the prevention and counteraction of corruption. The trainings covered all levels of the staff - newly appointed, expert and management ones. The pre-selected team of Bulgarian and international lecturers, with experience in the field, presented to the trainees a number of topics related to the national and institutional policy for the prevention and counteraction of corruption; modern methods and tools for investigating corruption crimes; international experience and exchange of good practices. The possibilities for increasing the effectiveness of anti-corruption operations and investigations, recognizing and limiting various forms of unethical and unacceptable behavior by employees of the Ministry of Interior were discussed. The experts highly rated the conducted training events, expressing a general opinion that good training is the basis of effective practice.
