Senior Commissioner Emil Parmakov was born on May 28, 1971 in Kyustendil.
Education:
He graduated from Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski" in 1996.
He has passed specializations at Sofia University, training courses of Secret Service, the Academy of the Ministry of Interior and ILEA-Budapest.
Professional carеer:
Senior Commissioner Emil Parmakov joined the system of the Ministry of Interior in 1997. Initially, he was First Degree Intelligence Officer, in the First Police Department within the Sofia Metropolitan Directorate of Interior. In 2002, he was appointed at the National Police Directorate, Criminal Police Department. Since 2010, he has been Head of Sector in the General Directorate National Police.
By order of the Minister of Internal Affairs, dated September, 2022, he was appointed Deputy Director of the General Directorate National Police.
By order of the Minister of Interior dated 04.03.2026 he was appointed Director of the General Directorate National Police.
