Criminal Psychology

Activities in the field of criminal psychology provided in the Institute of psychology are:
   • Psychological assistance to the criminal investigation;
   • Negotiations in critical situations, following dangerous criminal acts;
   • Preparing judicial-psychological experts’ reports.

The sector was established in 1998. Since then, numerous activities in the field of criminal psychology have been used and developed, such as: polygraph examinations in criminal investigations and psychological experts’ reports in the prejudicial activities, loyalty check of officers of the Ministry of Interior and psychological profiling of unidentified subjects.
