Sector “Counteraction of the criminal crime”
It provides organizational, methodological assistance and control and directly participates in the activities of the Criminal Police Division in the region for the prevention, documentation, detection and investigation of criminal offenses in the following areas:
• Crimes against personality
• Robbery
• Crimes against property
• Motor vehicle crime
• Drug-related crimes
• Search for people
• Child criminality
• Crimes against cultural and historical values
Sector “ Counteraction of the economic crime”:
Prevents, detects and participates in the investigation of line crimes:
• industry, construction, transport
• agriculture, trade, tourism
• budget and non-profit organizations
• financial-credit system and insurance
• customs and tax administration
Carries out operative-search events to prevent, intercept, document and disclose economic crimes.
Interaction with state, judicial and public structures in the fight against economic crime.
Investigations in the sector are triggered by signals and complaints from citizens and other institutions, media publications, and by the prosecution authorities.
Citizens who have been the victims of corruption, fraud, service crimes, counterfeit money or other economic crimes can seek assistance directly in the Economic Police sector and its units in the District Police Headquarters in the area or via phone 112.
Sector “Scientific and Technical Laboratory”:
The experts from the Scientific and Technical Laboratory participate in the survey of crime scenes, the investigation of traces and material evidence and the production of evidence. Provide assistance to the investigating authority in clarifying some or other circumstances related to the investigated event. Perform forensic expertise, research and other specialized activities in accordance with their qualifications and special training through comprehensive, objective and scientifically grounded research, processing and fixation of traces, objects and other material evidence.
