Migration Services

  Migration Services group controls compliance with the terms and conditions of residence of foreigners in the Republic of Bulgaria, such as:
   • Allow, deny and withdraw the right to long-term residence and extend the period of residence of foreigners in the Republic of Bulgaria; Establishes administrative violations
   • In the special houses of foreigners who are subject to forced removal to the border or expulsion from the Republic of Bulgaria
   • interacts with other MoI services to detect illegal migration, prevent and combat illegal migration and trafficking in human beings; Gives opinions on applications for acquisition and restoration of Bulgarian citizenship, issuance of visas and other permissions of foreigners provided for by law
   • cancels a visa issued or reduces the residence time of a foreigner in the country determined by the issued visa in case of non-fulfillment of the legal requirements
   • Proposes to the competent authorities to issue Bulgarian identity documents to foreigners.
